Our Services
Guardianship, representative payee, and support services
We help individuals across Wisconsin manage important aspects of their lives — with advocacy, careful financial management, and dependable communication with the people who care about them.

Service One
Corporate Guardianship
Guardianship is a service in which an organization is appointed by a court to help make certain decisions for a person who has been found to need that support. As a corporate guardian, we serve within the authority the court grants — which may involve personal matters, financial matters, or both.
- Support within the scope of authority the court grants
- Decisions guided by the individual's wishes and best interests
- Careful recordkeeping and required court reporting
- Regular communication with the people involved in the person's life

Service Two
Representative Payee Services
Appointed by the Social Security Administration, a representative payee receives and manages Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for someone who needs help managing them. As your representative payee, we use benefits to help meet the person's needs and follow all Social Security Administration requirements for managing and reporting their use.
- Benefits used for housing, food, utilities, clothing, and medical needs
- Accurate records and reporting that follow Social Security Administration rules
- Benefits protected, accounted for, and used for the person's benefit
- Help understanding what benefits can and cannot cover
Advocacy & Rights Protection
We speak up for the people we serve. That means protecting individual rights, honoring preferences, and making sure each person is heard and involved in decisions about their life to the greatest extent possible.
Support & Coordination
We work alongside families, care providers, and community partners to coordinate dependable day-to-day support, keep responsibilities in order, and make sure everyone has the information they need.
Know The Difference
Guardian or representative payee?
These roles are appointed in different ways and carry different responsibilities. Depending on their needs, a person may have both.
A guardian
Is appointed by a court and has specific decision-making responsibilities established by that court. A guardian's authority depends on what the court grants, and may cover personal decisions, financial decisions, or both.
A representative payee
Is appointed by the Social Security Administration to receive and manage a person's Social Security or Supplemental Security Income benefits, and to report on their use according to SSA requirements.
Fees
Clear answers about cost, up front
Fees depend on the services needed and the circumstances of each case. We discuss applicable fees and payment options during the referral process, before any services begin — so there are no surprises.
